How to show a merge between entities

Hello guys

I want to use Power BI to make a visualisation of a merge between many companies. For example, 5 companies will merge into just 1 company. Any idea how can I do that on Power Bi Desktop?

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous ,

If the 5 companies are 5 separated columns in the same table, you might click on the 5 companies at the same time in Query Editor, then right click to choose "Unpivot Columns" option to combine these columns into one.

If the 5 companies are in 5 tables and you would like to have one separated company column, you might create new calculated table using DAX below.

New calculated Table = UNION(DISTINCT(Table1[compan1]),,, DISTINCT(Table5[compan5]))

If you need to merge 5 tables which contain 5 companies in each table, see how to merge: Append vs. Merge in Power BI and Power Query .

Best Regards,

Amy
