How to show a line graph by month

Hello there,
I making a line graph to show sales of 2018 and 2019. I created a date table and I related this to dates in sales table.

I want the graph looks like this

But when I put date in the axis it looks like this

Sin títulol.jpg

I put a column in the date table of months, year and days but in the case of January it sums january of 2018 and 2019

Hope you can help me.

Thank you.

Put the date hierarchy in instead of the date and choose a hierarchy of year and month and drill down into it to the month. With Categorical turned on.

Try changing the x-axis setting from Continuous to Categorical in the Format pane.

I tried what you say but it shows me every day of the calendar, and if I put months on the axis box I have the same problem in January that sums sales of january 2019 and 2018.

Put the date hierarchy in instead of the date and choose a hierarchy of year and month and drill down into it to the month. With Categorical turned on.
