How to shorten the company name display at Chart ?

If you create an additional column you can use that for your Graph only and still retain the full customer name for other uses.

Create a custom column that refers to the company name field and use the below;

 

Company Name = Left(company_name_column, 😎

Hi Sir

Thank you for your sharing. 

Beside using expression to reduce the company name , it there any way to reduce only at chart , as Table i need display full company name.

Hi @Paulyeo11 ,

 

You can create  a duplicate column where you just use the 8 characters and use that duplicate column in your visualization and the leave the original one as it is.

 

You can mark it as solution if this helps you.

@Paulyeo11  you can do one thing have two columns one with full name which you can use for table and another for the chart

@Paulyeo11  you can either do the changes in source or in power bi by limiting the characters upto 8
companyname=left(companyname,8)
