How to see specific start and end date within a date range

On a Gantt chart visual, while hovering over a bar, I'll like to see start and end dates on a tooltip in collapsed view for a parent project and start and end dates for all sub tasks in expanded view.

For example: I have a parent project spanning 1/1/2020 to 12/31/2020. In a collapsed view on the Gantt chart, I would like the tooltip to show start date 1/1/2020 and end date 12/31/2020.

Similarly, expanding the Gantt chart view I would like to see the individual start and end dates for each sub task on a tooltip show: 1/1/2020-1/31/2020

2/1/2020-4/30/2020

 5/1/2020-8/31/2020 etc).

Thank you.

Hi @Anonymous ,

After my test on Gantt chart 2.2.3, I found that the tooltip page cannot be added. However, after the visual is created as follows, while hovering over a bar, the Start Date and the End Date are displayed automatically.

I also used Gantt chart-xViz to test, which can add tooltip page, but its display is a bit problematic. The start date and end date of the parent project it displays are wrong.

It is suggested that you contact the author of the custom view for help.

The pbix file which I tested is here.

Hi mwegener, I used Gantt chart 2.2.3.

Hi @Anonymous ,

as far as I know, this Custom Visual (like many others) doesn't support the Tooltip (Quickinfo) page.
