How to refresh the data automatically in Power BI when sales increased

Hii,

In SAS BI Tool data is automatically get refreshed when there is a increment in sales. Suppose yesterday's sale was 200 and today's sale is 300 so, a flag will be generated which is equal to yes and data will automatically get refreshed. When there is no increment in data or sales then flag is equal to No and data will also not get refreshed automatically.

So, how should I do this thing in Power BI please help.

Thanks in advance

Hi, @Na12

It’s my pleasure to answer for you.

According to your description,you can create reports in PBI desktop and publish to PBI service,then use gateway to set scehdule refresh.However,It seems there is no automatic refresh function based on data changes.You can sumbit your idea here.

If your data source supports DirectQuery connection,you can try it to get the latest data if you interact with the report.Also,you can create visuals to show whether the data has changed,then choose to refresh by yourself.

If it doesn’t solve your problem, please feel free to ask me.

Best Regards

@Na12 , You can create a measure like this and diff

Today =CALCULATE(sum('order'[Qty]),'Date'[Date]= today())

yesterday=CALCULATE(sum('order'[Qty]),'Date'[Date]= today()-1)

This Day = CALCULATE(sum('order'[Qty]), FILTER(ALL('Date'),'Date'[Date]=max('Date'[Date])))
Last Day = CALCULATE(sum('order'[Qty]), FILTER(ALL('Date'),'Date'[Date]=max('Date'[Date])-1))
Last Day = CALCULATE(sum('order'[Qty]), previousday('Date'[Date]))

Day behind Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Day))

Take the diff and compare

To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :radacad sqlbi My Video Series Appreciate your Kudos.
