How to print Matrix visualizations leveraging PBIRS

Hi Guys,

I have a requirment to Print matrix tables from a PBI report. As we all know PBI is very limited in terms of printing functionality and thus the whole matrix cannot be printed.

Has anyone found a sloution to this by leveraging PBIRS or other means?

We are leaning twords using SSRS funcitonality of PBIRS however we will be limited in usability since we cant figure out how to get the filter selections to transfer over to the RDL so that the user prints the same information that they view in the PBIX file.

Our hope is that we can set up a button on each PBI report page that would generate a RDL file version of the matrix which contains the filtered parameters and is ready for printing.

Any advice???

We have successfully converted PBIX data model to SSAS data model over night. Now we will just create the paginated reports using SSRS and voila, problem solved.

Hi @Anonymous,

Power BI desktop generates .pbix report while SSRS generates .rdl report, these are two different type reports. It is not possible to convert one to another.
