How to measure a visual's memory to load

Hi Folks,

How can i find out how much memory it takes for a visual to load? It works on my pc but not on the website. I cannot make the measures any more 'lean' than i have already. So my best option is to upgrade the service. But before i give a recommendation i need to know if the service upgrade will handle the visual.

Thanks,

Brian

Hi @airwolf39 ,

Please try to measure the size of the columns by using DMV queries in Power BI.

And you can  refer these links to optimize the data model.

Use DAX studio to examine the query produced by the visual.  Most likely a cartesian product  (look at the "Records"  column in the query plan) that you may be able to correct by rewriting the measures that are part of the query.
