Hello all, I am very new to Power BI and I am working on a demonstration for my company to possibly use new visualization tools.
I was curious if there is a way to make a button apply a filter. When I go to the action section of a button, all it will allow me to do is go back, bookmark, drill through, page nav, q and a, and web URL.
I didnt know if there was another way to possibly use a filter on a button. I am trying to put it on the entire report. So for example, if I click the button, it will show all of the freight revenue, if I click another button it will show non-freight revenue. Any help or tips would be great! I am self taught. Thanks!
You might be able to set up a slicer (which can be synced across all the pages) to do this but there's insufficient information to know whether or not this would work for your report. Specific requirement details are important here.
What you can do is apply the filter(s) you want. Then saved the filtered page as a bookmark and use the button to navigate to the bookmark.
I don't think its possible to filter with a button in the way you described it.
