I'm having Subcategory in fact table with sales. I have to group the subcategory to category. With time, it subcategory changes ..means new sub category will be added or existing subcategory may be removed in future. How to maintain it in separate table??
The below table is fact table
The below table is Dim table ,where im maintaining categories for subcategory.So In fact table,for the month of Jan, i have papers but not in March.In March, Sketches were newly added.I want to maintain my Category table on DD-MM-YYYY basis .How to do that??

Whenever the data is refreshed, Power BI replaces the old data directly with the new data. As of now , Power BI does not support integration of old historical data. So you can only manually copy and integrate the dimension table.
