How to link independent dimension table with fact table

Hi Experts,

Need your help in this.

In our data model we have got a dimension which has no relationshup with Fact Table. The structure is as follows:

As shown above, in the Category dimension we have category name in Rows and in Fact table we have individual columns for each category name. 

The expected output is :

I have tried an option of unpivoting the fact and create the relationship with Category dim. It works fine but increase  the number of rows which is not ideal.

Please advise what would be the best solution for this type of data model.

Unpivoting your fact table is the way to go.  PowerBI is very good at handling tall narrow tables and they give you the most flexibility as well.

Don't worry about the increase in rows.
