I have a Map with a date filter. This is used to return the latest value of a column.
I want to to select a point on a map and have it filter a line chart, but I only want the selected geography. I do not wish to pass the date as well, because it then limits my line chart to a single point. I have to be missing something simple here, right?
My workaround was to add a grid with only the Geo data. That filters off of the map selection. But then I need to click that single value in order to filter the line chart. I want to eliminate the redundancy.
NOTE: Please ignore the second map. This is dev page, not a final design. 🙂
Thanks for any help offered. Here is a video:

You need a measure for your line chart that uses ALLEXCEPT and include your geography but not your date.

Thank you, but this seems like something that should be controllable via the interactions GUI. I keep finding these little illogical shortcomings and complexities.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Did you get any GUI or solution for that?
I am facing the same issue, I want to restrict the number of filters propagating from one visulization to another on same page.
