Hello There,
We were trying to connect Microstartegy in PowerBI Desktop as a Connector and tryign to connect Cube.
Some of the small cubes in Microstartegy we were able to load into PowerBI, but majority of our cubes are failed to load in Power BI with below error messages(not exact message)...
- The Data in the preview has been truncated due to size limits
- Data Source error: The operation has timed out
How can we increase the Row limit and Time out settings in Power BI dekstop to load these microstartegy Cubes.
- If not, What are the default values for these.
Appreciate your help. 🙂
ThankG.

You may have to set the timeout in advanced editor in Transform data/Query Editor. But it could be little different for MSTR cubes as source.
[timeout=#duration(0,0,30,0)]))
Refer to these posts.

If this helps, mark it as a solution.
Kudos are nice too.
Thanks VasTag for the qucik turnaround onthis.
I try to fit the Timeout command in the Advanced editor, but microstartegy didnt accept it.
Anyway, I found the way to give number of Rows (row Limit) and Time out. But still i see the Time out after 10 Min (doesnt matter even i give more than 10 min). I am trying to load Cubes which are with 3 Million records and 920 MB size.
Any other suggestions??
In the below windows we can add the row limit and time out...
