How to improve refresh speed for multiple instances of one data source

Im using one dataset which is 300mb+ in csv but need to create multiple references of the table to act on and when I change one item the refresh time is VERY long as it seems to refresh all tables. Is there any way to improve this refresh speed or a setting I may have missed? I only want to refresh the one data set then have Power BI apply the changes to the references to the dataset.

Any help you can give is greatly appreciated!

Hi @murrayb8,

As your description, you want to only refresh the base query and auto refresh the reference queries, right?

Based on my test, currently power bi desktop not support this feature.

You can open the query editor and use "Refresh Preview" button to manually refresh base query.

Notice, other referenced queries doesn't auto refresh, you need to manually refresh each queries.
