I am wondering if it is possible to create a single slicer, which accounts for multiple columns and their values. Attached below is a sample of my data. For example, I want to be able to have a visualisation that shows item and version, and the actual values for the item/version would be the values attached to the date columns (001 January 2017, 002 Febuary 2017 etc.). I would want a slicer to be able to select which date column to be displayed in that graph.
I have tried quite a few methods, but nothing seems to work. Please give me any suggestion you feel would be appropriate, and let me know if you have any more questions. Is it a problem with the format of the data? Is it possible to have multiple columns fall under one "date" column (like the picture below)? Thank you.

Hi @andyring,
You should model your data in Query Editor to achieve this.
UnPivot the date columns into one "Date" column and then you can use this "Date" column in your slicer.

Wow, such a simple solution. Can't believe I didn't think about this. It seems to be working as I intended - thank you very much Prateek!
