How to get rid of the Matrix Gridline when published to web

Hi,

It has been a long time and I have not been able to solve this. I think it was some bug from PowerBI. But please help if anyone else have solved this issue.

In the desktop version, I have switched off the horizontal gridlines for tables and it appear just as I want it to be:

But when I published to web, those lines that was not on desktop starts showing up. it could be quite glaring if we have lots more rows of data. This is a very simple problem and i'm not sure why PowerBI hasn't solve it yet.

Have anyone solved this yet?

Hi @disco_sam ,

This is a known browser rendering issue, there will be phantom lines if view mode is not set to "Actual size".

Hi @v-yingjl

Thanks for your reply. It seems weird why the phantom lines appear if it is not set to actual size. Is there an option to show "actual size" by default so that my readers don't need to see those ugly lines?

Hi @disco_sam ,

You can set it in power bi desktop before you publish the report to power bi service. Then you can share it with others.

More details about page display settings, you can refer this document: Apply page display settings in a Power BI report

HI @disco_sam ,

This looks like a strange issue.

Can you check in Power BI service by Editing report, if horizontal grid lines are ON?

Thanks,

Pragati

That sounds very strange.

If you go into service and edit the report, is the horizontal grid still toggled to off when you check in the visual editor of the matrix?
