How to get rid of scientific notations in power bi's powerquery monitor

Hello,

I'm aware that this was asked before, but none of the solutions to get rid of the scientific notations worked out for me so far.

Neither rounding to more than 12 numbers nor changing the Datatype in setting to English(US) displayed the whole number as it is.

After changing the column from text to numbers or to decimals I get this:

1,0E+11
123456789

and so fourth.

Only when I get them as Text they are displaced properly.

What else can I do to get them as number, but not as

Power Query is for cleaning and preparing your data so what you see isn't necessarily how it will look when it's in a report/visual.

In Power Query just set the column to Decimal.  Close and Appy to load the data into Power BI Desktop, then in Power BI Desktop click on the column and set the Format to general as shown in my image.

If you look at the numbers in a table they should not be in scientific format now.

Regards

Phil

Hi @PhilipTreacy ,

there is no "general" and I am in the power query Editor.

When I set any changes to "Format" or make autodetect datatype, it jumps back to datatype "TEXT".
