Hi People,
I hope everytihing is fine there!
I have a table that contains some analysis about an individual of a class of school.
Sample data-
Object | Achieved | Total | Unit of Measurement | Result (Achieved/Total) |
Maths | 79 | 100 | % | |
English | 87 | 100 | % | |
Science | 92 | 100 | % | |
Satisfaction | 70 | 100 | % | |
Creativity | 6 | 10 | # | |
Class Coordination | 5 | 10 | # |
Problem-
If I will certainly just calculate Achieved/Total, all the values will be an absolute number.
While I need these values to follow the format as per the Unit of Measurement column.
If a # is shown, it should be an absolute value, while if it is a % then it should be a percent value.
Object | Achieved | Total | Unit of Measurement | Result (Achieved/Total) | Expected Result |
Maths | 79 | 100 | % | 0.79 | 79% |
English | 87 | 100 | % | 0.87 | 87% |
Science | 92 | 100 | % | 0.92 | 92% |
Satisfaction | 70 | 100 | % | 0.7 | 70% |
Creativity | 6 | 10 | # | 0.6 | 0.6 |
Class Coordination | 5 | 10 | # | 0.5 | 0.5 |
This is "Expected Result" how I want my measure to display the values when I keep this data in the table.

@Anonymous you can add a column as below, tweak as you see fit
Result =
VAR __rate = DIVIDE ( 'Sample'[Achieved], 'Sample'[Total] )
RETURN
IF ( 'Sample'[Unit of Measurement] = "%", FORMAT ( __rate, "Percent" ), FORMAT ( __rate, "#,0.00" ) )
