How to export and import DAX measures from a Report

Here is the problem statement ….

A data scientist uses Power BI Desktop to create a data model and publishes it to the Power Bi Service.

A developer then uses Power BI Desktop to connect to the shared dataset, creates lots of DAX measures and publishes the report to Power Bi Service. Note the DAX measure are stored in the report and not in the shared dataset.

The data scientist likes the DAX measures and needs to share them. They therefore wants to export then from the report and import them into the Dataset in bulk, rather than copy and paste each measure.

What are the various options and best practice?

@onurbmiguel_ Thank you for the reply, but you have given wrong answer to the question. 🙄

There is only one dataset and the dax measure are in the report.

Remeber the quetion is how to export and import DAX measures from a Report.

Not how to export and import DAX measures from a Dataset to Dataset.

If you just need to Bulk Copy the measures, you can just select them all in bulk and paste it into new instance of tabular editor.
below are 2 meethods , with

1- Tabular editor as an external tool in Power BI desktop

2- with visual studio code.

we can use ALM Tollkit to compare (if  you have 2 datasets):

with this tool you can updated one of dataset in bluk. 

My sugestion is to explorer this option.

Tabular Editor 3 can generate a script to create all the measures, calculated columns etc, which you could then run on the base model. Not sure if that functionality is available in Tabular Editor 2

I know Tabular Editor editor can connect to the dataset,
but can it connect to the report?
Then export DAX measure in bulk from the Report and import them to a Dataset?

Tabular Editor connects to Power BI Desktop, so both the data scientist and the developer would be able to use it.
