How to do a month/year slicer slider bar?

just looking for an example somewhere of a good way to do a month/year slicer such are a sliding bars or something.
the slicer should only effect the month/year shown on the axis.
my values measure must still calculate over a year back from the shown month/year.

Timeline2.1.0 Date Slicer from power BI Market place can be used. After that measure can create using time dimension table

Sales Last Year = CALCULATE(sum(Sales[Sales]), Year(OrderTime[Order Date])= Year(NOW())-1))

When you want to use the date of the slicer

Sales Last Year = CALCULATE(sum(Sales[Sales]), Year(sales[Order Date])= Year(max(OrderTime[Order Date])))-1))

With the new version of power BI, you can use date in page level filter it has advance and relative date filter options , that can also solve this kind of problem
