How to display total document number for last month data based on date

Hi,

I have below data.

DeparmentSubjectDate Submitted
ALetter1/7/2017
AFax2/8/2017
BMemo2/7/2017
CFax25/6/2017

I need to show the total subject data based on date.

1. Total subject data for previous month (July).

2. Total subject data for this month (August).

How can I show it use Card custom visual and us DAX to display this. Or have any idea to display this?

@Kamaizziati,

You may add measures as shown below.

this =
CALCULATE (
    COUNT ( Table1[Subject] ),
    Table1[Date Submitted] >= DATE ( YEAR ( TODAY () ), MONTH ( TODAY () ), 1 )
        && Table1[Date Submitted]
            < DATE ( YEAR ( TODAY () ), MONTH ( TODAY () ) + 1, 1 )
)
previous =
CALCULATE (
    COUNT ( Table1[Subject] ),
    Table1[Date Submitted]
        >= DATE ( YEAR ( TODAY () ), MONTH ( TODAY () ) - 1, 1 )
        && Table1[Date Submitted] < DATE ( YEAR ( TODAY () ), MONTH ( TODAY () ), 1 )
)
