How to delete source Excel column?

How do I delete source Excel column without creating problem in Power BI during loading?

Hi @Anonymous

It could be any problems if you makes any transforms with deleted column (like, change types and automatic change types, usually)

So, ifor me, the best way is to look at advanced editor in Edit Queries mode and be sure that you dont see any mention of this column

Provided the colunm is not used in any calculated colunms or measures then you should only have an issue with the source.

to correc this go into the power query editor and ensure that in the view tab you have the formula bar visable.

then slected your table and select source in the applied steps.

you will now be able to view the source string in the formula bar and you can delete the now removed colunm.
