How to create graph with Non numeric Measure and place it on X-Axis?

Age Bucket.pngHello All,

I have created Age bucket as a measure- which is dynamically calculating bucket based on the selected year in slicer.

Now I have a requirement to do the following:

 I would like to create a graph with Age Bucket and # of employees.

I want to plot Age bucket measure on X- axis and Total count of employees on Y axis.  – But remember we have Age Bucket as measure not a column. I do not want to use calculated column for bucket.

example: How many employees was in each Age Bucket  in 2018?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Sonu

@sonuojha1 you cannot use measure on x-axis, you have convert bucket into column.

@parry2k
Thanks for reply, As per my description, I am calculating the buckets at dynamically based on the selected year in slicer. So I don't think, it can be achieved by calculated column.

Is there any alternative or workaround to get dynamic Age Bucket that can be used as column?

Hi @sonuojha1 ,

Even creating a calculated column can realize your idea.
Maybe you can refer to my .pbix file and try again.
