So basically, im pretty new to using power BI, I need to get the average daily rate for when a person activates there card but i have no idea how i should approach this.
I have a column named Date Activated and it states the date each card has been activated, how do i create something that automatically updates whenever i put in the input new dates of activation and also show me the average daily rate everyday.
I would also like the average daily rate to start from January 2017.
I would like all of this to be shown on a dashboard
Really would appreciate the help from anyone, like i said i have no clue what steps i should take.
Thanks
Hi @AllonRichards,
I have an idea to deal with your requirement, you can take a look at below steps if it suitable for your requirement:
Logic:
1. Summary records by date.
2. Average the summary table.
average = AVERAGEX(SUMMARIZE(ALL(Sheet2),[Date],"Total",SUM(Sheet2[Amount])),[Total])
If above not help, please share some sample data and detail contents.

Xiaoxin Sheng
Please provide some sample data, having trouble picturing what you are going for here. The average daily rate everyday (of card activations?)
