How to create a tooltip for a table visual?

I have a table visual which consists 3 columns- Name,Age,Country. I want to create a tooltip using the Name column. which means whenever I hover into Age or Country columns, the tooltip should display the Name.

Any Ideas?

Hi @Yonas,

Create a measure to get the value of name.

Measure = MAX('Table'[Name])

Refer to the documents mentioned by @parry2k :https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-tooltips

Thank you @V-lianl-msft and @parry2k I have managed to create the tooltip but when i hover on other cells, the tooltip still shows. Is there any way i can restrict it to show on one column only. Like show the tooltip when i hover only on the first column? I have read another blog. we can restrict that on matrix. any way to restrict that on table visual?

Hi @Yonas ,

Sorry,the table visual does not support the feature you described yet.

It is suggested that you could submit your idea to help improve power bi

@Yonas I guess you can achieve this with custom tooltip, did you tried it?
