Hi everyone,
I have a question about adding a popup on a text box. I would like to add a description to define "Impressions" and instead of putting it right next to the word "Impressions", I am wondering if there is a way I can make a popup (like the tooltip in Power BI) that would show this short paragraph when I hover over the word "Impressions"? Screenshot attached below.
Thank you very much for your help!

Hi Emily,
Oh, I thought the "impression" was a picture, but it is a text box as well?
Another workaround could be to use a box visual, use a white background, type in "impression" and then use the action ribbon again to add a tooltip, like I tried here:
Unfortunately, I do not know of any pop function.

Have you consider Powerapps on this?
Hi @Anonymous , I have not looked in Powerapps. Is there a function in Powerapps that might be helpful? Thanks a lot!

Thank you @tackytechtom. That was really helpful!! A follow-up question, if you don't mind. Might you know how to make the text bold? I was able to change the font, text size but was hoping to make it bold as well. Tried Title but the title will not be in the middle of the box so doesn't seem like a feasible option for my case.
I attached a screenshot below for your reference. Thank you so so much for your help!!
Hi Emily,
Hm... It looks like you cannot make a text of a box shape bold. As a workaround, you could customize your text in a text box and drag your box shape with the tooltip over it (select no fill for it, too). Also, make sure that the box shape is indeed laying above the text box layer so your tooltip works as expected 🙂

Hi @Anonymous,
How about using the Action setting in the Format image pane:
You could then write your text into the tooltip field.
Does this work for you? 🙂

Thank you @tackytechtom ! The tips you shared worked for images on my dashboard.
Unfortunately, I was hoping to add a tooltip or any kind of popup function on a TEXT BOX. Sorry if it wasn't clear! This is what I see when formating text box:
I don't see the Action section here. Do you know other ways to add tooltip in this case? Thank you very much!!
