I have a graph that uses my calendar table to looks forward each week (Sun-Sat) and displays production order time for certain work areas as the week goes by. We have a target for the areas to hit by the end of the week, so I would like to show a target line, i.e. a line that shows a linear increase to the target at the end of the week. Then I would like to have another line that shows the cumulative total of hours to show how on track we are to hit that target.
So it would look something like this:
How could I accomplish something like this?
@scorbin-j , You can consider window function for that
Power BI Window function Rolling, Cumulative/Running Total, WTD, MTD, QTD, YTD, FYTD: https://youtu.be/nxc_IWl-tTc
or date table
Running Total/ Cumulative: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2wsO332LUo&list=PLPaNVDMhUXGaaqV92SBD5X2hk3TMNlHhb&index=41
Looks like I don't have the Window Function in my version of Power BI, but the second suggestion worked to get a cumulative total.
How would I go about getting that target line that I want to compare the cumulative total to? Could I leverage the same cumulative technique in some way?
