How to create a custom table with variable columns

Hi,

I am a newbie on Power-BI. I would like to know if I can create a custom table visualization, something like a report, where my users would select certain columns, and then click a generate report. Then I should be able to show a Viz that has the columns selected by the user.

I clearly could achieve this in Tableau. But now, I'm trying Power-BI and curious how to do it.

I didn't find this question already asked, if it is a duplicate, please direct me to the answer.

Hi @aarshps,

I don't think there is such an option to do it directly in Power BI currently.

In addition, here is a similar thread in which some workarounds are mentioned. Could you go to check if it helps in your scenario? Smiley Happy

So what would be the purpose of generating a report rather than just having the users click the Table visualization and select the columns they want in it?
