How to combine unlimited number of files in the same directory (same template)

Hi All,

I'd like users to be able to drop individual files (all with the same structure) into a single directory, and then have power bi automatically combine them into a single dataset. Please could you tell me if/how this can be done?

It was quite a common requirement in my VBA days but can't seem to find this on google for Power BI.

Thanks for any pointers,

CM

Hey @CloudMonkey ,

sure, that is also possible.

For that chose "Folder" as your data source:

Once you chose the folder you have the possibility to "Combine" all the files in that folder:

This is going to combine all files in that folder to a single table.

If you need any help please let me know.
If I answered your question I would be happy if you could mark my post as a solution ✔️ and give it a thumbs up 👍
