How to combine two different live data sources or a live data source with a dimensions table?

I want to explore live data from two different live tables and make relations with a dimension table from excel... how can I do that?

hi  @RGL

If you use directquery model to connect data soure, you could still import table into power bi from excel, then create relationship between them.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/transform-model/desktop-composite-models

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/transform-model/desktop-create-and-manage-relationships

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-directquery-about

And if you are use live connection model to live connect to SSAS/Power bi Dataset, you couldn't do any modeling in it and you could just create report level measure in the power bi desktop, since SSAS OR power bi dataset is a complete data model, you have to do modeling in SSAS.

@RGL

SQLBI.com has a free into to data modeling you should take a look at.
