How to combine dates (Year,Month,Quartal) in one Measure with different sources?

Hello Together,

i hope someone of you could help me 😃

Is it possible to combine mutiple rows from differen Excel- Sources ??

I would like to combine the date from several sources in one. The background is that I want to make a graphic for each source but all change as soon as you change something on the timeline.

Greeting Sven 😃

Hi @SvenMaassen,

It is possible to combine multiple data sources in Power BI either using merge (kind of vlookoup in excel), append (adding a table on top of another table), folder connection, etc., and this is done in the query editor either through the graphical user interface or the formula bar. The query editor uses M language.

If you could post your sample excel files and your expected output, the community can show you how it is or can be done.

Hello,

PowerBI in cooperation with Power Query offers you the possibility to import data from different sources, modify them, load them to your Data Model and relate them to control them with a single Date Slicer or Timeline.

You should check out some tutorials because it's hardly impossible to explain all the basics from scratch, so please search the forum for 'Learn' or similar like here.
