I would like to combine/concatenate all the columns (while ignoring the nulls).
I've tried adding a custom column using:
[Number ID]&[Grouping 1]&[Grouping 2]&[Year]&[Quarter]
but it gives null as the result for each row.

Try selecting columns and merging them. The UI lets you select the delimiter. Not sure how it works with null. But you may be able to add an if statement to that..
