How to calculate variation for total column only in matrix?

Hi,

I am looking to calculate variation percent for the Total column only in matrix visual. Looking to get a Sales table like this:

ProductID      Plan 01   Fact 01    Plan 02   Fact 02     .....     Plan 12   Fact 12  Total Plan     Total Fact      Var %

100                   100         120        90             85                    130         140          XXX                YYY                 Z

110                   ....   ......   ....   ..........

120                   ....   ......   ....   ..........

where Z is calculated as YYY/XXX.

I know how to do it for every column. But how can I make it calculate only for the Total figures?

Hi @gvg,

There is no direct way to add a variation percentage column for the total column only in a Matrix visual. You could refer to my workaround in this similar thread. But you should be aware that I used calculated columns to get total and variation percent, the values displayed in matrix is static rather than dynamic.
