I want to set the filter to role management because I don't want to let people from other departments that I also share my report to see the cost at my department. My requirement is let the user see the only cost of their department such as "JVAS" can display only their cost disable to see "KA and VV" cost.
I have tried to put [User Name] = "JVAS" but when I swap to view role nothing happens. How can I do?
My license is Power BI Pro.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Right now your filter says that the entire cost code has to be "JVAS". Instead you want to is only check the left 4 characters and see if they equal "JVAS"

Should be something like LEFT([YourColumn], 4) = "JVAS"
