How to append 2 tables into 1 in Direct Query

Hey guys, I have 2 separate tables connected from PostgreSQL in Direct Query mode. I need to combine them into 1 but, unfortunately, when I append those tables joint table is Imported so data is not refreshed automatically.

I also tried to wire the DAX function but the new table is also Imported 😞 Is there any chance to solve this?

Your help is really appreciated.

Hi @realiz ,

You can refer the method in the following threads to get it.

DirectQuery append

Merge or append 2 queries (in direct query mode)

@realiz if it addition or rename of columns, It will have impact. If rows are getting that should not have any impact.

@realiz , if you will merge in Power bi, It can be import only.

Better create a view or Materialized viewin postgreSQL

Hi @amitchandak , thank you for your reply, will this solution work if base tables are changed (some cell are updated by admin)?
