@amitpatil35 Hi, on the status bar bottom right corner, there's a text that reads "Direct Query: On (Click Here To Change)", if you click that and pick Import, your model should start importing.

Note that this is currently a one way trip. i.e., an Import Model cannot be converted back to DirectQuery.

I found this way, it seemed easy:

You go to "edit queries", then you select any table and then you click on "source" in the applied steps window.

A pop up will show up asking you if you want to switch all table to import mode.

Hello @Anonymous

I have tested it and it is still working.

There's alos another method described in this article

Good luck

hi,

I have found a way to force the switch from DirectQuery to Import.

1- Create a csv file

2- Click on Get Data, choose csv file option

3- Click on Load

4- a message would be displayed saying that all queries must be switched to import Mode

5- click on Switch

6- Refresg the model

Then delete the newly created query from a csv file.

Voila!

Can't see the Status Bar.

This should be in the bottom right by the zoom slider, and say Storage Mode. It may be set to mixed if you already have a Imported dataset in your file

Same here. I need to switch from live to import.

Tested and validated, workd as described from moving from Direct Query to Import.  Does not appear to support changing from Import to DQ.
