How to Create a Date Parameter to Use on Dynamic Report?

Hi,

I have made an Report in which I use the now() function for many of my measures. In the middle of the making I realized it limited my view and analysis, so I would like to make a parameter in which I can select a date to use on all my metrics.

Thank you.

@bcosta98 - People usually use a slicer for that. It can even be a disconnected slicer table. You then just use SELECTEDVALUE or MAX to grab the value in the slicer. You could create a measure and edit the measure. You could hard code it into your formula. I don't have your PBIX file or any kind of vision in my head of what you are dealing with so it's hard to say exactly. Screen shots. Screen shots are good. Sample data. That's pretty good too. More details in general. Details are great.

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.

@bcosta98 - Just create a Calendar table using CALENDAR or CALENDARAUTO. Relate it to your data, use it in a slicer.

@Greg_Deckler  Actually, I started making some measures out of the now() functions because using slicers wasn't doint it for me. Therefore, I need to use an single value that I input on my measures and collumns, which I can modify.

Like replacing NOW() with DATE()?

@Greg_Deckler  But how can I change the date on the report?
