How to Calculate Last Fiscal Year to date ?

Hi, 

I've been searching many topics and videos but still can't fix my issue. 

I need to show the the current fiscal year to date profit and previous fiscal year to DATE profit in a report.

for example,  when I open the report on March 12th,  I want to see the current Fiscal YTD profit and same period of last fiscal year YTD profit (to March 12, 2017)

here are the measures I've tried: 

measure TFYTD GP = CALCULATE([Current Period   GP],DATESYTD(DimDate[Date],"30/9"))

measure LFYTD GP = CALCULATE([measure TFYTD GP],DATEADD(DimDate[Date],-1, YEAR)) 

I also created another measure to compare...

Measure2 LFYTD GP = CALCULATE([measure TFYTD GP],SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR(DimDate[Date])) 

and I got below result. 

measure TFYTD GP  is correct and gave me the correct number. 

but both measure LFYTD GP & Measure2 LFYTD GP gave me the correct number on the day of March 12th, but i don't know why the total is incorrect.   the number 159,999 is covering until end of March of 2017, but I only want to know the number until March 12th, 2017. 

Not sure where is wrong and how to fix this issue.

Has any one one got the solution to calculate the measure from last financial year to date .
Any suggestion would help.
