How to Bold certain cells or a whole row in a table

Hi,

I would like to make the font bold of a whole row inside a table or just bold certain cells. I can't figure out how to do this. Please help

I have it bold on my excel sheet but when I imported it to Power BI the fields are not bold anymore.

This might be the solution for you:

How to create any Excel table in Power BI using the HTML & CSS Viewer Visual

If you do it like in this video, you are able to conditionally format anything in your table from font, color, border etc.

Dear,

another option -> paragraph "How to use the HTML tags in a DAX measure" in https://bisamurai.com/custom-visuals-knowledge-base/bold-italic-underline-power-bi/

You can change the font type to Arial Black or Segoe (Bold) to get a bolded font.

I was looking for this and the only place I think it could be is in "field formatting". However while you can change

font color and background color there is no option to change the font type. Did anyone find a work aournd for this?

@Anonymous Please try using “Conditional Formatting” option of the table visual. You can’t get the formatting that you have in your excel data when you import, you need to apply the rules in Conditional formatting in Power BI.

@PattemManohar I tried conditional formatting but I can't seem to make the words bold.

In case this helps someone...I have been using this site to make bold and stylized text (words) in my DAX measures: Bold Text Generator (𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐲 & 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲) ― LingoJam. It uses the unicode symbol set so no HTML tags needed or extra visuals.

You can have background and font colours to be conditionally formatted. But not Bold, Italic and Underline options....

Currently, there is no option with the default visualizations to do anything conditionally to text other than color it or change the background.

You can vote on this idea to try and get the PBI team to add the ability to add more text formatting options:
