How should we add the no of day as a filter to limit the months detail?

Hi All,

I just got an interesting task where i ahve to add a filter on the basis of month days,

Say for if we select month Jaunary and any one just want to see the how much sale is done in 1st january to 10th january.

So for that we must have a daywise data but i dont have that,

So here i need the help from you guys that if i do not have that kind of data then how i could create filter like that.

Hi @Satish_Kumar

Could you not simply use your Date column as a Slicer?

And if you are using the Updated Power BI Desktop it will default to the new Slider option?

So then the user can simply select the start and end dates for what they want to see?

@GilbertQ

Thanks for the reply,

If i am not wrong then this thing is possible when we have these range of data if i do not have the data then how we add default months days as a filter.

Hi @Satish_Kumar,

It will only show for the days when you have data. So if you had data for January, and not for February and then again for March it will show the date range from January to March, including February. If a user selected February then the result would be blank because there is no data.

@GilbertQ

OK, that means it will show the lower date has the intial range and the higher date of my data as the last range value and it will automatically add in between date.

thanks for addon knowledge.

Satish
