How many threads is used when parallell read is enabled ?

Hi.

I am interested in knowing how many threads Power BI uses as default when parallell reads are enabled ?

Is it using the  maximum or how can I get the info about how many threads PBI is using ?

And is there a way of setting how many threads that should be used ?

Best regards

Elijah

Hi @elijah2018,

It seems that you are looking for the thread information of Power BI Desktop.

You could see the details in Task manager like below.

By my test, it seems that Power BI uses  8 threads as default when parallell reads are enabled.

For your third question, it seems that we cannot set how many threads should be used for Power BI currently.

You could post your new idea in Power BI idea forum and add your comments there to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.
