I came across this report. I cannot understand how it was it possible in the graph to display month and year at the same time like in the picture?

When you use the third button to drill down the visual, you can get year and month displayed at the same time.
When you use the second button as shown below to drill down the chart, you will only get Month level.

It's simple, you only had to put on the axis option the date hierarchy and the visual automatically create the option, if you want you can do it a level of days. A workaround for this is create a new column "Month-Year"
Test this on the file.
