How do you drag and drop a dimension into the Power BI dashboard? Any samples?

I have a requirement to drag and drop a dimension (Ex: DateTime, Region dimension) into the Power BI dashboard like in Qliksense? The data should get filter based on the chosen dimension. How do you achieve this in Power BI? Please provide samples, if any. Thanks in advance.

Hi @Nambidasan ,

Here's a similar post which provided a valid solution with dynamic x axis.

@Nambidasan

If you are developing a report then you can drag and drop fields on to visuals but as an end user, it's not possible. However, if the ned user needs to choose the fields to drag and drop as you desire then Personalize Visual option would be the solution: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/power-bi-personalize-visuals?tabs=powerbi-d...

Also, you can try the New Field Parameter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6WchPDZibI

@Fowmy  Thanks for your response. I was looking for something like below. Like in Qliksense, we have an option to drag and drop the dimension (As a end user) and the data changes according to the dimension chosen in the visual. In a broader view, I wanted to bring all my dimensions(apprx 20 dimensions) into the  visuals and the end user should have an option to change the visual as per the chosen dimension. Any small samples (which works as per the second link) would work for  me. Thanks in advance!
