I'm using PowerBI for data qulaity dashboards
my source data is formatted as follows and is summarised from the individual data quality sources.
Rule Title / Counted / Pass / Failed
but our enlightened data engineers didnt think to add a row count in the summarised data and the source data has too many rows to access directly in PBI.
I have added a DQ rule that just counts the rows but now i'm in the fix where if i use slicers on the dashboard then it ruinis the overall total that i am now pulling through.
I need to be able to store those few totals in a way they dont change no matter the slice used?
I am fairly new to PowerBI having recfently moved from a department that solely used MS Access for everything to a place where SQL, Databricks, Azure, Power BI, etc are the tools of the day.
Any help appreciated.
example data source
Rule | Counted | Passed | Failed | Critical? |
PSRL00.01 | 241000 | 241000 | 0 | 0 |
PSRL00.02 | 241000 | 542 | 240458 | 0 |
PSRL00.03 | 241000 | 26000 | 215000 | 1 |
need to be able to store the orange numbers as static values that could be referenced elsewhere....
