How do I disable automatic count of?

Power_BI_Count_Of.jpg

From the image above, I would like to visualize 'type' by 'closing month'. For some reasons, I can't get to disable the count of 'type'. I've tried the modeling tap and used 'don't summarize' but it doesn't solve my problems. I've also tried clicking on value and it doesn't display options for taking of the count of.

Hi @anioko1,

We can only display numerical values on Y-axis in a chart, and it will be aggregated automatically. If you add text values into value section, it will be counted automatically.

If you want to disable the automatic aggregation, you can create a measure which returns the desired numeric. In your scenario, you want to visualize 'type' by 'closing month', you can add 'type' into legend secion.

Are you trying to see a monthly breakdown of how many or how much of something is in each Type? If that's it,  you probably need to put Type in the Legend box and something else in Values so you can aggregate a count or sum of whatever the thing is.
