Hi all,
I have a date range slicer however, I would like to enable my user to click a button and the date range slicer will reset it to a default date range. Is this achievable in PBI?
thanks

@Anonymous
the procedure is correct and should work. Can you try the following? Set the slicers to your default values and then go to the bookmark and select “update”. See if it solves it.

Please try the same what @PaulDBrown shared above.
Along with that, can you confirm that clicking the button with 'CTRL' ?
@Anonymous
Alternatively you can create a button from the button options in the main ribbon, create a bookmark with the default values and link the button to that bookmark. I do this all the time.

Hi all,
I tried the following way and my "reset to default" button did not reset back to the bookmark value in my visualisation. The following are my steps....
Step 1:
I set my slicer for the year range to 01/08/2017 to 31/08/2019 in the slicer.
Step 2:
I created a bookmark object
Step 3:
I click on the "reset to default" button to assigned the bookmark object to this button.
Step 4:
I test it .. see following two steps testing
The bookmarked date range is 01/08/2017 to 31/08/2019.
Despite I clicked the button, the slicer doesn't change to the bookmarked range and the total figure remain $12.4M and not $10.7M
Have I missed out anything in my steps?
Thanks,
Tuff

Hi,
You are right that the "Reset" button needs to be clicked together with "Ctrl" key.
Is there is a way of not using Ctrl key? I see somewhere in other reports able to do that?
@Anonymous
You only need to do the “ctrl” + click while in the Desktop app. Once you publish it to the PBI service, it will work directly by just clicking the button (no need for the “ctrl”)

I am also trying similar logic as well no luck of getting it right.
Hello,
However you can make it with 'Clear Selections' which is at the right top of the Slicer. Or if you particularly wants in the button, you can make it with Blank button & Bookmark features in PBI
