I've been trying to find a way to show dates - NOT date and time - that get shown according to the report viewer's locale e.g. US format or UK format when viewing in the Power BI service.
It seems like either I set the date field as date/time (which allows me to pick the general format), or I have to commit to a specific date format in the report.
Is there a way to do this?

Hi @thisisausername ,
In Power BI Desktop, it takes the date format of local machine.
In Power BI Service, the date format will change based on the language settings. Please make sure you set language settings as Default(browser language), also ensure that you set the wanted local format e.g. English (United States) as default language in Chrome, and move it to Top.
Best regards,
Yuliana Gu
