How can I download individual dataset from the DATA tab in the Power BI Desktop?

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback.

Question 1 - May I know how can I download the all the individual dataset of each table in the DATA tab in Power BI desktop? I tried to create a visualisation table and drag all the fields into the table and perform an export, but it turned out Power BI aggregate some of the data value (i.e. behaving like Pivot table) and the value is totally incorrect. I need the raw data in the dataset, do you know?

Question 2 - I am wondering if such download via DATA tabe is possible, is there a limit to the number of records that can be download into excel?

H @Anonymous,

#1. I'd like to suggest you use 'copy table' function to copy table from selected power bi data table, then you can open an excel file and paste copied data. (It will copy all of raw data from selected data table)

#2. Please take a look at following link to know more about limitations for export feature:

Export data from visualizations

BTW, you can also refer to following link to know how to use excel or ssms to connection to power bi data model with SSAS instance mode. Then you can use SSAS export feature to export table data which you wanted.

Connect to Power BI Desktop Model from Excel and SSMS

You can achieve it below ways

1) Go to Data View Tab, select any Dataset. Right click on data and select copy table. Then you can copy it to any excel

2) Create a Table visualisation, drag fields. Go to fields Tab, perform Don't Summarise for all fields. Then you will get unaggregated data in Visualisation. Perform simple Export to excel and get your data.Capture4.PNG
