Hi folks,
I have a slicer set to single selection, a table visualization, and then a handful of other visualizations showing related data.
A user can choose a category in the slicer to narrow down the data, then highlight an item in the table. The other visualizations will highlight data related to the item selected in the table, and shade-out any non-related data. Great!
However, if my user then chooses a different category in the slicer, the table and other visualizations continue to try and highlight data related to the item that was selected in the table, even though it's no longer part of the table contents.
Is there a way to stop the table from remembering what was previously selected, so that when a new category is chosen in the slicer it respects the new data?
If i'm understanding this correctly, you should be able to "Select any empty space in the same visual to remove it."

Sure, I definitely understand that the highlighting can be removed by clicking elsewhere, but it's not graceful, and I just know standard users are going to (a) get confused and (b) tell me to fix it, so I'm pre-emptively seeing if I can improve that experience before the inevitable.
Anybody know of a way to force that highlighting to be reset?
