Highlight selected month in the line chart

Hi Everyone, 

I am struggling with a measurement to extract value for selected month's revenue so i can show as 2nd photo. Please help

i followed this video illustration and succeeded in showing daily revenue. But tricky part is i dont want to show daily, but monthly revenue and couldnt adjust calculation. 

So far, i have created highlight_calendar table which is same as dimcalendar, but has no relationship with main table

And then created to measurements: 

Revenue_withoutrelationship = CALCULATE([Total_revenue], TREATAS(VALUES(Highight_calendar[date]), Dimdate[Date])) 

Revenue_highlight = IF(SELECTEDVALUE(Highight_calendar[1stdayofMonth]) = SELECTEDVALUE(Highight_calendar[date]), [Revenue_withoutrelationship])

So i can have this: 

But as shown in the 2nd table, revenue highlight doenst pick  up monthly revenue

thanks for letting me know, i made adjustments so this time it should be working 🙂
