Anyone else seen this or have a resolution? I've uninstalled Power BI Desktop and reinstalled, but get the same problem.

Thanks for the help!

Since the HierarchySlicer is a 3rd party chart, for better support, I'd suggest you contact the author.

Miraculously, all is well the very next day. We are no longer seeing any rendering issues. My guess was that there was a missing javascript dependency or an incorrect version of a dependent file. I suspect that the custom visual's author would have been able to fix the issue simply by correcting that reference...?

Still seeing the issue on our end as of this morning.

I have the exact same problem. I just started today: 10 Oct 2017, and yes, I have the Oct' Desktop update. I tried updating the customer visual, but that didn't help either.

How could this happen...!

Also, I am only seeing the black bars when I use Firefox browser. If I use Chrome or IE, then it renders correctly. However one of my colleagues is seeing the same issue on Chrome.

We are seeing it sporadically too (not all users), but we have seen it on all browsers.

Just another note, if you turn the Header "off" on the slicer, it will fix the issue (at least you can see the data).
